International Litigation and Arbitration

The members of Legalink's International Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group are experienced litigators working to resolve national and international legal disputes. We are multilingual and multi jurisdictional. We work in all the fora in which disputes are heard including national courts, international courts, arbitration tribunals, mediation bodies and assisted negotiations between parties. We also work to provide international judicial assistance, international interim measures and the enforcement of arbitral and judicial awards and judgements.

Jorge A. Mestre was a speaker at the 2019 ABA Section of Litigation & Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division CLE Conference in New York on Friday, May 3.

Mestre was on a panel entitled International Discovery: Gathering Evidence from Around the Globe, which provided an interactive example of how U.S. attorneys can obtain evidence from foreign jurisdictions.

Mestre’s practice focuses exclusively on commercial litigation and arbitration, including international arbitration and litigation. He has litigated domestic and international arbitration matters in both English and Spanish.

Senior litigation partners Gordon Grieve, Simon Morris and Greg Whyte have for a third year contributed the Australian chapter of Litigation Funding 2019, published by Getting the Deal Through. The publication compares the legal and practical issues relating to third-party litigation around the world.

The guide highlights the importance of litigation funding in assisting litigants obtain access to justice and how Australia is one of the countries leading the way.
