ESG

ESG represents a wide spectrum of practices designed to incorporate environmental, social, and governance criteria into corporate decision-making processes, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to sustainability. In an era marked by global climate challenges and growing social awareness, a surge of regulatory and legal developments has reshaped the landscape. This transformation journey began with the European Commission's Action Plan on Financing Sustainable Growth in 2018, followed by the European Green Deal in 2019. Subsequently, a series of significant legislative interventions have paved the way for ESG activism. These include the Shareholder Rights Directive II, the Pension Funds Directive II/IORP II, the Benchmarking Regulation, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), the Taxonomy Regulation, and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), among others.

The ESG practice group aims at fostering knowledge sharing, enhance capabilities, promote meaningful dialogue, and facilitate collaborative efforts among member firms. Its primary focus is to assist our clients across various practice areas, including environmental law, corporate law, tax law, banking and finance law, and litigation. We are dedicated to helping businesses navigate the intricate regulatory framework, guiding them on their roles in sustainability matters, and ensuring compliance with evolving standards.
