Troy is of counsel in the Litigation and Government Investigations practices. He embraces clients with deep compassion, sharp strategic insight and the tireless zeal necessary to champion their needs. He is a trusted litigator who consistently obtains results for individuals and companies in high-stakes matters involving commercial litigation, criminal defense, federal and criminal enforcement investigations, business or securities fraud, compliance issues, and employment litigation.

When strategizing with clients, Troy draws upon his practical legal experience. Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney in the Asset Management Unit of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and was an associate for a large international law firm. His experience advising Fortune 500 companies, including major financial institutions and franchisors, in litigation matters spanning from intellectual property to complex commercial litigation provides important insight to resolving some of the most complex matters his clients encounter.

In addition to being a sophisticated practitioner, Troy is a former legal ethics professor. As a result of this role, he employs principled wisdom to his diverse skillset when helping clients achieve success. Troy served as an associate professor of law at Michigan State University College of Law and as a visiting professor at Vytautas Magnus University Law School in Lithuania. Continuing his passion for teaching, Troy provides presentations on comparative ethics to this day.
