Brent represents, advises, and counsels businesses of all sizes in the legal aspects of their business, focusing on labor and employment and complex commercial litigation. Brent has substantial experience litigating matters across different forums and jurisdictions across the country, including trying multiple cases and obtained multiple successful jury verdicts and arbitration awards.

Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in labor and employment law, Brent defends employers in federal and state court, as well as arbitration and in matters before administrative agencies. His employer-side litigation experience extends to defending against claims of federal and state wage and hour violations (on individual and class and collective action bases) and anti-discrimination, anti-harassment, and anti-retaliation laws. Brent also enforces and defends against the enforcement of restrictive covenants, including disputes involving the protection of and misappropriation of trade secrets. On the commercial litigation front, he undertakes complex business disputes at the federal and state levels for companies of all sizes.

An important component of Brent’s practice involves counseling and navigating business leaders through the complexities of federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Brent aids business leaders with litigation avoidance strategies, as well as with establishing, drafting, and enforcing effective workplace policies, practices, and procedures.
