Alain Jouan practices in all areas of tax law, in an advisory capacity and as a litigator, acting for clients ranging from individuals to multinational companies, both listed and unlisted.

He represents clients in relation to acquisitions, mergers, restructuring, joint ventures, tax audits, and negotiations with the tax authorities. On the litigation side, Alain assists his clients with respect to their tax issues before all administrative and/or civil jurisdictions.

Alain holds a DESS in corporate taxation from the Paris IX University – Dauphine, a Master’s degree in Business Law and Taxation and a Master’s degree in International Law and European Law from Paris II University – Panthéon Assas.

He has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1997.

Before joining Bersay & Associés in 2018, Alain worked from 1989 to 2005 at Deloitte, and Price Waterhouse Coopers and Paul Hastings, before co-founding Vaughan Avocats in 2005 and DJP Avocats in 2008.
