Memory lane Games

21 Sep 2023 Europe

A new technology that started with a chat in a local pub, offers a way to spark memories for those living with dementia around the world.

Memory Lane Games began with 2 friends in a pub chatting about their Mums. After 100,000 app downloads, a successful clinical trial pilot and fresh off the back of winning the Mayo Clinic and ASU MedTech Accelerator in Phoenix in March, Memory Lane Games is turning memories into games for people living with dementia in 134 countries. As the Mayo Clinic judges noted, "This is a simple yet scalable solution that can positively impact millions of lives, in dementia and across other neurological conditions."

The Memory Lane Games digital health platform utilises AI gamification models and hyper-personalised content to engage people with dementia with simple, fun games, designed to not only trigger positive memories but also get people with dementia and their families/carers talking. The benefits of improved socialisation - for the person with dementia and their carers - shown in the Isle of Man-based clinical trial pilot, are being incorporated by Arizona State University's Escon School of Nursing Innovation into a larger scale FDA-approved US clinical trial protocol, set for early 2024.

With games on most cities in the UK, US, Canada, Germany, India, the Philippines and more, as well as localised games on hobbies, interests, foods, music, etc., our library of over 3000 games is sure to have a topic your loved one will want to talk about!

Last week, Fox News Phoenix ran the following story on Memory Lane Games, wonderfully highlighting the important work we do:
