Bell Nunnally Partner Brent A. Turman has been elected chair of the State Bar of Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Section (TESLAW) – a state bar section comprised of more than 600 licensed attorneys throughout Texas who practice entertainment and sports law. Section members represent a wide variety of clients including media companies, employers, filmmakers, athletes, artists, and entertainment and sports organizations, in both the private and public sectors.
Among its offerings, TESLAW twice a year publishes the Texas Entertainment and Sports Law Journal and the group annually sponsors the Entertainment Law Institute (ELI) – a continuing legal education (CLE) program bringing together top practitioners from around the country.
Long involved in this industry, Turman has previously served as chair of the Dallas Bar Association Entertainment, Art & Sports Law Section and President of the Texas Association of Motion Media Professionals.
