Bell Nunnally Adds Three Associate Attorneys

Bell Nunnally is pleased to welcome three new associates – Nathan Cox, Caitlin Paulden and Shane Thomas.

Nathan Cox joins the Litigation, Labor and Employment and Intellectual Property groups. He has experience representing individuals and businesses in civil litigation in both state and federal courts, prosecuting and defending claims in complex commercial and intellectual property disputes, and defending employers against discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims in state and federal court and before key agencies. After graduating law school, Cox clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey C. Manske, in the Western District of Texas, Waco Division. He is active in the Dallas legal and business communities, serving on the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Young Professionals Advisory Council and active with the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Cox earned his J.D. from Baylor University Law School (2017) and his B.A. from University of California, Davis (2013).

Caitlin Paulden joins Bell Nunnally as a member of the firm’s Litigation practice focusing on business and commercial disputes. A recent graduate of Baylor University Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2022), she served as a legal extern for the Honorable Alan Albright and the Honorable Amos Mazzant III. Paulden is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara (B.A., 2019), where she won the “Delta Gamma Award of Excellence.” Active in her communities, she is an associate member of the Paul Brown American Inn of Court and a volunteer for Service for Sight, dedicated to helping people who are blind or visually impaired.

Shane Thomas augments the firm’s Litigation team. With experience delivering litigation and compliance counsel to clients in the energy sector and financial institutions, he has an understating of all federal financial consumer protection laws, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act, as well as compliance with state consumer protection statutes relating to consumer lending and collection activities. Thomas also advises and represents utility companies, and he has involvement in matters extending to creditors’  rights and bankruptcy proceedings and labor and employment. While attending Tulane University Law School (J.D., 2021), Thomas was a member of various moot court teams, one of which won a regional championship. Shane also received the Crest award for his work as Class President in his final year at Tulane. He earned his B.A. from Tufts University (2017).
