Bell Nunnally, one of the largest firms in North Texas, welcomes four new associates to the firm – Ryan Maxwell Dawson, Matthew J. DeWitte, Meredith N. Palmer and Tylynn R. Payne.

Dawson joins Bell Nunnally’s Litigation practice. A Marine Corps veteran who served in a combat zone as a vehicle recovery operator, he is also a licensed commercial airline pilot and instructor. In summer 2021, while attending UNT Dallas College of Law, Dawson clerked for the Honorable John Roach, Jr. of the 296th Judicial District Court, Collin County, Tex. He earned his law degree in May 2023 and attended Utah Valley University (B.S., Summa Cum Laude, 2019).
DeWitte joins Bell Nunnally’s Corporate and Securities practice. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law (J.D., 2023) and the University of Wisconsin – Madison (B.S., 2019). While at UNC Law, DeWitte was selected for the Broun National Mock Trial Team and was the recipient of the Eugene Gressman & Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocacy Award. DeWitte served as both a Contributing Editor and Staff Member for the North Carolina Law Review.
Palmer joins Bell Nunnally’s Litigation practice. She is graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law (J.D., 2023) and the University of Texas at Austin (B.J., 2020). While in law school, Palmer interned for the U.S. Office of Special Counsel in Dallas and for the Honorable Jeffrey Vincent Brown of the Southern District of Texas. She also served as editor-in-chief of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review. Palmer, since 2021, has volunteered with Texas Lawyers for Children, a non-profit organization working to improve case outcomes for abused and neglected children by enhancing the quality of legal services they receive.
Payne also joins Bell Nunnally’s Litigation practice. A 2020 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude, 2020), she represents a broad range of businesses in complex commercial litigation matters in both state and federal court. Payne comes to the firm from K&L Gates, where she was an associate. She attended Tarleton State University for undergraduate studies (B.S., cum laude, 2016). While at Texas Tech Law, Payne was an active member of the Texas Tech Law Review, serving a term as editor-in-chief and authoring several articles.
