Bell Nunnally Adds Four Associates: Luke Collins, Kim Cruz, Catherine Helm and Danielle Canfield Vorbrodt

Bell Nunnally has added four associates: Luke Collins, Kimberly A. Cruz, Catherine Helm and Danielle Canfield Vorbrodt.

Collins earned both his law and undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University (J.D., cum laude, 2022; B.A., 2019). While attending SMU’s Dedman School of Law, Collins interned for U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Stacey Jernigan in the Northern District of Texas and U.S. Magistrate Judge Kimberly Priest Johnson in the Eastern District of Texas. He also served as an associate managing editor for its International Law Review, where he was a “Best Comment Finalist” in 2021. At the firm, he focuses his practice on litigation and bankruptcy matters.

Cruz earned both her law and undergraduate degrees at St. Mary’s University School of Law (J.D., 2022; B.A., 2016). Graduating at the top of her class at St. Mary’s Law, she received its “Presidential Award,” honoring students who exemplify leadership service and academic excellence. At the firm, she focuses her practice on business and real estate transactional matters.

Helm is a graduate of Baylor Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2022) and the University of Cincinnati (B.A., summa cum laude, 2014). As a member of the Baylor Barrister Society, she competed on several preeminent mock trial teams, including the Student Trial Advocacy Competition hosted by the American Association for Justice, the National Civil Trial Competition and Trials and Tribulations. Prior to her time at Baylor Law, Helm worked in the strategy and operations division of a nonprofit organization that builds and finances charter schools in New York City. At the firm, she focuses her practice on litigation.

Vorbrodt returns to Bell Nunnally. She was previously an associate from 2020 to 2021. Vorbrodt is a graduate of SMU’s Dedman School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2020) and Rutgers University (B.A., 2014). She re-joins the firm following a federal clerkship with the Honorable Kimberly C. Priest Johnson of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. During her clerkship, Vorbrodt gained experience in both criminal and civil litigation and was exposed to a wide variety of substantive and procedural issues arising under state and federal law. At the firm, she is a member of the litigation team, where she focuses her practice on commercial disputes.
