29 Aug 2022 Latam

Aviation-focused attorney Kerry A. Adams has joined Bell Nunnally as partner and member of its litigation practice, expanding the firm’s offerings with a 360-degree focus on serving the aviation industry.

With more than 15 years of dedicated experience in the aviation arena, Adams handles complex litigation and arbitrations, as well as transactional and regulatory issues. Licensed in both Texas and Oklahoma, her practice often takes her throughout the country, where she routinely handles multi-million-dollar escrow disputes, international transactions, regulatory and compliance issues, tax-related matters, maintenance-related issues and all aspects related to business aircraft use and transactions for her clients.

Adams’ practice also includes negotiating and drafting Aircraft Purchase Agreements, brokering planes, offering assessment of FAA regulations when parties are considering joint-ownership, assisting in the formation of Non-Citizen Trusts and litigating all manner of aviation-related disputes. In addition, Adams has closed many multi-million-dollar aircraft purchase agreements, often involving cross-border transactions.

“Bell Nunnally is the perfect place to grow my aviation-focused practice,” said Adams. “The multidisciplinary, business law-focus of the firm is an ideal platform and will no doubt broaden existing client engagements and prove attractive to new ones. I’m thrilled to join Bell Nunnally’s all-star litigation and transactional teams.”

Adams joins Bell Nunnally from her solo practice, Private Aircraft Legal Services. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law (J.D., 1999) and the University of Texas at Austin (B.A., 1997).

“As a firm, Bell Nunnally continues to log steady growth and attract outstanding legal talent to our core practices, as well as important and highly complementary niche areas – like aviation,” said Christopher Trowbridge, Bell Nunnally’s managing partner. “I am confident that Kerry will thrive as she continues to build her practice and will enjoy not only a group of truly outstanding colleagues and legal minds but also a company that stresses culture and collegiality in all it does. We’re excited to welcome Kerry to Bell Nunnally.”
