AYR – Amar Reiter Jeanne Shochatovitch & Co. welcomes new partners

Prior to joining AYR, Mrs. Pilichovski Czyzyk was a management member of the Corporate Finance Department of the Israel Securities Authority and Head of the department's legal advisory division. She has handled complex and substantive issues in various areas of securities law and corporate law, including prospectuses and issues, reporting obligations, corporate governance, controlling shareholders transactions, anti - concentration law matters, debt settlements, credit rating, underwriting and capital markets development.

In 2021-2022, Mrs. Pilichovski Czyzyk participated in the "Financial Leaders" programme, a programme designed for managers in the financial public sector, which influence the design and implementation of regulation of the financial system in Israel. Thirty selected managers from the financial regulators participated in the programme, including from the Israel Securities Authority, the Capital Market, insurance and saving Authority, the Tax Authority and Bank of Israel. 

Mrs. Pilichovski Czyzyk also served as director of the 35+ Forum, which was established by the chair of the Israel Securities Authority to promote gender diversity on boards of directors of reporting corporations, mutual funds and portfolio management companies. She is a lecturer in securities law in the LL.M. program in the University of Haifa. 

Prior to joining AYR, Mr. Grossman filled various positions at the Israel Competition Authority for 14 years, the last of which as head of the field of communications, high-tech. intellectual property, defence industries and tourism in the markets department, and examined complex mergers in these fields. Moreover, as part of his position, Avi represented the Competition Authority stand at the various Knesset committees. He has extensive experience in the field of competition law, in both criminal and civil aspects, including the field of mergers, and provides ongoing advice and accompaniment on subjects of competition.

Mr. Grossman participated in the policy planning and government regulation of various areas in the Israeli communications market, and was a member of the “fibers outline” team, whose recommendations were implemented by the Communications Minister and resulted in the amendment of the Communications Law (which yielded, after years of stagnation, the deployment of advanced communications infrastructure in Israel). He was also a member of the regulatory committee in the field of Israeli broadcasts (the Folkman Committee), wherein he was appointed to head the intra-ministerial sub-committee – Communications Ministry, budgets department and the cable and satellite broadcast council – which dealt with the subject of “sports broadcasts in Israel”. The committee recommendations were adopted by the Communications Minister.

Previously Mr. Grossman served as a team leader at the Israel Competition Authority legal department, managed white-collar crime cases of antitrust and fraud, and represented the Authority in criminal and civil proceedings at the Jerusalem District Court and the Competition Tribunal.

Three other lawyers have joined the partnership: Adv. Mr. Nir Shafran of our Planning and Construction department; Mrs. Anat Kerner of our Litigation and Dispute Resolution department and Mr. Mati Rosenbaum of our High-Tech department. With their joining, the number of partners in the firm increased to 55, out of 142 lawyers in the firm.

In January 2022, two lawyers who grew up in the firm were promoted to partners – Mrs. Dorit Karny of our Insolvency Department and Mr. Ronen Apt of our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department.
