Weightmans appointed to national framework for universities planning to go global

25 Oct 2016

National law firm and member of Legalink Weightmans LLP has been appointed to a new higher education framework to provide legal services to universities looking to enhance or create international links.

The Global Mobility Support Services Framework - led by the North West Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) but available to universities across the UK - is the first of its kind and will see Weightmans provide legal advice to support the international reach of UK higher education institutions from October 2016.

Legalink membership has enabled the firm to promote a substantial global offering through partnership with other members. This provision of specialist advice in a multitude of jurisdictions was one of the key factors that made Weightmans a perfect fit on the panel. By working together and playing to our strengths we are able to truly get the best out of the panel appointment, make beneficial contacts and forge relationships with a new client base.

The Global Mobility Support Services Framework agreement will run from 1 October 2016 and last for four years.
